From Dallas thru Memphis to Nashville

After getting such a late start we only drove a few hours and stayed overnight in a parking lot at a Holiday Inn Express in Texarkana, TX. But not before heading over to Cracker Barrel as an ode to Cary’s mom, Carolyn. When she was in her 70’s she bought an RV and travelled across the country (on her own). She loved staying overnight at Cracker Barrel and raved about the catfish and green beans. We loved them, too!

We had a reservation at the Two Rivers campground in Nashville and wanted to arrive before it got dark, but when we drove through Memphis but couldn’t resist pulling off and eating some real Memphis BBQ! The ribs were to die for! Fell off the bone! We had the half and half: 1/2 wet hot bbq sauce and 1/2 dry rub. YUM!!!!
